Oculus Start is a program based on three main principles: access, support and savings. It’s aim is to make VR developers’ jobs easier.
The Oculus Start program, which will only accept select developers, offers many advantages, but does not expect anything from developers in return. Selected developers will have access to Oculus’s new equipment, beta versions of tools and services, and industry’s big names at Oculus Connect event.
Oculus will also organize five support events each year under the Start program. In these events, Start developers will have the opportunity to meet face to face with other developers and exchange ideas.
All developers participating in the Oculus Start program will have a one-year Unity Plus license and free credits to spend on the Oculus Store.
The program that Oculus expects thousands of developers to apply for will only consider developers who have developed at least one VR application before.
