Vice Prime Minister Şimşek: “We must focus on virtual reality”

Visiting the Digital Gaming Consoles Museum, Vice Prime Minister Mehmet Şimşek said the domestic gaming industry should focus on virtual reality goggles.

The Digital Game Consoles Museum (DOYKOM), which was exhibited by DEMO Gaming in the scope of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week between 6-9 December with TOGED cooperation was visited by Vice Prime Minister Mehmet Şimşek on the first day of the event.

Şimşek, exploring consoles and accessories in the exhibition said, “It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t keep these production possibilities going we started back then. With the developing technology, we need to focus on virtual reality glasses as well. ”

Canalys estimates that virtual reality title shipments in the third quarter of this year have reached 1 million people, while the Zion research company estimates that the virtual reality market, now valued at $ 2 billion, will reach a market volume of $ 27 billion in 2022.
