Since 2013, Sony has launched three PS4 models. While Slim version was thinner, the Pro version introduced the family in to the 4K world.
According to news from the worldwide media and analysises, the release date of the next generation consoles is still a few years away. Journalist claim the next two years will be the exclusive content for PS4 to shine.
According to International Data Corporation (IDC) analyst Lewis Ward, the next-generation PlayStation entertainment system is likely to go on sale in 2021. Ward believes that PS4 Pro, which hit the market by the end of 2016 has extended this generation’s life. The PS4 was launched seven years after PS3.
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) CEO John Kadera said the number of PlayStation 4 gaming systems sold from the launch until the end of 2017 was 73.6 million. Analysts estimate that a total of 100 million of PS4 systems will be sold until the end of 2019.
