Rebellion acquire Radiant Worlds

Rebellion, developer of the Sniper Elite series, acquired the Radiant Worlds game studio for an unexplained sum.

Radiant Worlds will be reborn as Rebellion Warwick following the completion of the acquirement, and will join the Rebellion Liverpool team afterwards.

Radiant Worlds have found themselves in a very difficult situation last year. The studio had to abandon the SkySaga: Infinite Isles project on PC, after Smilegate Entertainment decided not to publish the project, and then the cash flow had stopped.

Radiant Worlds have informed their staff about downsizing following the Smilegate incident, the acquirement made by Rebellion will make it possible for the studio’s 70 employees to continue their work.

Rebellion Warwick will work on the existing projects of the parent company Strange Brigade and will provide support for Sniper Elite, Evil Genius and Battlezone productions.

With the addition of employees of Radiant Worlds, founded in 2013, the Rebellion team will transform into a giant team of 300 people.
