Bug Lab hosted Wojciech Setlak in its 9th Fall Game Jam

Bahcesehir University Game Lab, also known as BUG, set off on a mission to change the rules of the game in 2012 and BUG founded the first Game Design Graduate Program in Turkey, also known as Master BUG. Gathering the Istanbul gaming sector under the roof of a community, BUG also serves as a research-development center for computer games and user experience design.

BUG Fall Jam, which has become a tradition, has met undergraduate and graduate BUG game design students for the 9th time. Held at the Galata campus of Bahcesehir University on 23-25th November, the theme of 48-hour game development marathon was chosen as “The BOX”.

The Jam started on  Friday with many brainstorming ideas with the support of Tiramisu Studios and the production has been kicked off by teams at midnight on the first day of jam.And there was a special guest on Saturday; Wojciech Setlak (11bit Studios), the author of This War of Mine and Frostpunk games gave a masterclass and shared his experiences with students and this inspiring talk proceeded with a long Q/A session. A wide selection from desktop games to VR experiences were shared with the students’ fun presentations and applauded on the last day of Jam, Sunday.BUG Lab will continue to organize its jam series, so the next one will be held in Spring’19!
