Game Developers Association of Turkey (TOGED), Ankara University Rectorate, Ankara University Center on Development Studies Implementation and Research (AKÇAM), initiated a joint work with the slogan “Rain of Informatics for Children in Rural” to support distance education activities.
With this study, it is aimed to ensure that children who do not have a computer, continue their distance education activities without interruption by meeting their needs.
As you know, within the scope of the COVID-19 epidemic measures, distance education was started all over the country from March 23. From this date, until the schools are re-opened, the students continue their education by watching the courses on the EBA TV channel and connecting to the Education Information Network (EBA) of the Ministry of Education.
According to the news published in Anadolu Agency, TOGED, Ankara University Rectorate and AKÇAM which came together with the slogan “Rain of Informatics for Children in Rural“, aim to support distance education activities in this region.
Ali Erkin, the Chairman of TOGED, emphasized the importance that they give to the education of children and young people as an association and said:
“With the valuable contributions of Ankara University and AKÇAM, we want to ensure that children who do not have a computer, continue their distance education activities without interruption by meeting their need. In this direction, we took action to provide a total of 30 laptops to our children in three districts determined in Siirt, Ordu and Hatay. We hope that this work to reach enywhere in the country and that there will be no children in our country who do not have access to technology and education in the future.”
